On Episode 14 of the World Wrestling Resource Podcast, it’s a lot of talk about Greco-Roman wrestling with World Champion Dennis Hall and Bulgarian Greco-Roman specialist Ivan Ivanov.

United World Wrestling announced it was changing a few rules across all age-group levels on April 30 and there was a discussion about the impact of those rules and how they would impact the American system of Greco-Roman wrestling. There was also a note to point out the elimination of forced par terre wrestling won’t occur at the senior level until after the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio.

Dennis and Ivan talk about their theories on the Pan Am Championships, the development of the NCWA’s pilot Greco-Roman wrestling league and much more.

Then we move into a spirited back-and-forth about the issues at Cleveland State and who or what can be done to make sure this doesn’t continue to keep happening in wrestling. Coach Brands and host Jason Bryant go back and forth on the matter.
